  • First meal cooked at home in a long time! While our renovations are still in full swing, including the kitchen, I managed to uncover the stove that's placed in the middle of nowhere and make us supper.
Presenting the Beyond Meat burger (finally tasted this thing... not bad!) nestled in a glutenfree bun along with my garden arugula, @doefsgreenhouses cucumber (had a chunk left from when we last were in YEG at @strathconamarket), local BC greenhouse tomatoes, and sliced market onions. Our glorious side is fresh @vernon_farmers_market asparagus that was lightly heated in @oliveoilbc Picual evoo served with a dash of truffle sea salt and a spritz of lemon juice.
Makes me feel almost human tonight eating a homecooked meal. Lol.

  • The positive side of renovation madness -- including a non functional kitchen -- is purposefully setting aside money to eat out... lots! Here we have one of our absolute favourite meals from one of our favourite eateries in Vernon, @stationbbq. How can you not love the Texas Beef Brisket platter (we share for two)? So good! And this time, we also ordered the Mississippi Mud Pie. Oh wow. Plate licking good!
